Coach Beck's hitters are taught a 6-step hitting progression program:

that emphasizes the importance of having a plan and routine while hitting in practice and game situations. Coach Beck teaches his hitters a "Slow To Fast" or "Slow To Explode" approach that enables them to get into strong hitting positions from the ground up. Getting the heels on the ground at load-to-launch after stride allows hitter's to create balance, leverage, and power. This approach allows hitters to "see the ball long through the hitting zone" and creates consistency & the ability to get on the path of the pitch early and stay through the zone long. Players must be willing to put in the necessary time in order to become the best player he/she can be on the field.
